How do I get started?
Register for our next buying roadshow near you. We will then email you on how to prepare for the event.
How much will I get?
It depends entirely on what you have. Common gold jewellery is priced on weight, carat and the live spot price. For diamonds, watches and estate pieces, the offer depends on quality, condition and current market demand. We’ll always explain how we arrived at our number.
What do you buy or list?
Gold jewellery of any purity. Natural diamonds 1ct and above with GIA certification. Luxury watches: Rolex, Patek Philippe, Omega, IWC and other major brands. Branded jewellery: Cartier, Tiffany, Van Cleef, Bulgari and similar. Estate and antique collections of any size.
What don’t you buy?
Lab-grown diamonds. Bullion, coins or bars. Costume or fashion jewellery and gold/silver plated jewellery. If you’re unsure whether your item qualifies, upload a photo through our enquiry form and we’ll let you know before you make the trip.
How quickly do I get paid?
Payment is made by bank transfer to your nominated account the same day your offer is accepted. Funds are typically available within a few hours and have never taken longer than 24 hours.
What if I don't accept the offer
Your items are returned to you immediately at your appointment, or posted back at our cost within 2-4 business days for mail-in. No fee, no obligation.
How is my jewellery tested?
Gold is tested using XRF — a non-destructive analysis that reads metal content precisely. Diamonds are assessed by weight, colour, clarity and cut. Watches are examined for authenticity, originality and condition. Nothing is altered, scratched or damaged in the process.
I am looking to sell my Estate, does GILDEX help with this?
Yes, and estate collections are genuinely our speciality. Bring everything. We’ll sort, assess and itemise every piece appropriately depending on your situation,including any other beneficiaries who need to be considered. We’ll advise on the best route for each item, whether that’s an instant offer, our dealer network, or a specialist channel for antique or branded pieces. You deal with one person and receive one payment, making the process as straightforward as possible during what is often a difficult time.
What do I bring to my appointment?
Under the South Australian Second-Hand Dealers Act 1996, we are legally required to record your identity before purchasing any item. Please bring a current driver’s licence, passport or other government-issued photo ID, along with your BSB and account number so we can process your payment on the same day.
